Patterned Stacking Rings

These examples were the first 'Stacking Ring' designs that I made. The influence for these came from the Middle East where wire-form pattern rings feature strongly and are very popular. I deconstructed the patterns into separate elements and designed separate bands in silver, yellow and red gold to be worn together as a group. The option to add, re-arrange and change the combined elements was an appealing idea, not only for me as the designer but also the client. The appeal of these rings lies in their simplicity. The client can be more involved in the design of their own ring. One client became excited by the concept because it paralleled her own interests with stitch patterns.
